I’m not going to lie. I thought that after going 4/4, I was going to come in and go 5/5. Instead, Chuba Hubbard shook his head at my dreams of glory and provided me with an excruciating 4/5 mark on my parlay.
Alas, there’s no time to dwell on my close defeat. We’re back at it again with a Thursday Night Football game that’s sure to excite – a divisional, AFC North affair between the 5-4 Cincinnati Bengals and the 7-3 Baltimore Ravens. This game has huge ramifications for both teams. Dropping to 5-5 with 2 losses to the Ravens would pretty much eliminate the Bengals from division contention. They’d have to make up a huge disparity in wins, while also losing the tiebreaker to the Ravens. For the Ravens, an 8-3 start would make them 3-2 in a tight, competitive division with the NFL’s hardest remaining strength of schedule.
To celebrate this momentous TNF matchup, I'm going big with another five-leg parlay that could pay out at +913 odds. The first leg on this week's parlay is Cincinnati +3.5. These divisional affairs always come down to the wire and I expect nothing less from a game with stakes like these. Next I'm taking both Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow over 1.5 passing touchdowns, banking on a tightly fought, high-scoring divisional battle. I'm also taking Lamar Jackson over 223.5 as I believe he bounces back after a lackluster Week 10 against the Browns. Finally, I'm rolling with rookie Zay Flowers over 51.5 receiving yards. The Jackson to Flowers connection is beginning to heat up and this is a storybook scenario for him to solidify his role as WR1.

After having a rough week last week, I'm hoping having two good teams play on Thursday night will give me the spark to find a winning bet for the first time in a while. The forecast for the game tonight calls for little wind, so even though Justin Tucker has missed more field goals than usual this year, I’m betting either he or Evan McPherson will make the first field goal attempt of the game.
Second, Keaton Mitchell has shined in the last two games, so much so that he was the discussion in the recent Jakes Takes article this week. I think this trend continues and Mitchell gets the majority of the snaps as the Ravens' running back, meaning Gus Edwards won’t get enough snaps to go over 45 yards.
Finally, after the over let me down last week it's time to flip the script. It seems like every primetime game has gone under this season, so I’m taking the under along with the 3Q under, as I like the halftime adjustments that Lou Anarumo, the Bengal’s defensive coordinator, makes. This is the week we bounce back.
