Jake Moszkowski's SGP Pick

Current SGP picks challenge ROI: -2.0

Week 3 was a nearly-week I went 3/4 (again!). Most people would go for a 3-leg parlay, but I’m not most people. I’m shooting for the stars here!

Thursday football has come once more, and this time we have a divisional matchup between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. Both teams are 2-1, and with fellow division rivals Minnesota and Chicago both looking abysmal at 0-3, this is a chance to gain a 3-game divisional lead early in the season.

This game, by and large, should be close. Divisional games are typically tough, and both of these teams have featured up-and-down moments this season. That said, I think that the Detroit Lions have more weapons on offense, so I’m going to take them -1.5.

Despite that, I really like Jordan Love’s progression — Packers fans have to be happy with his development as a passer. I’ll take him O1.5 passing touchdowns. Unfortunately, I think that the Lions have found a diamond tight end out of, where else, Iowa. I’ll take Sam LaPorta O4.5 receptions (he’s recorded 5, 5, and 8 catches in the first three games of the season). Lastly, I think Amon-Ra St. Brown has proved himself as a legitimate WR1 and one of the best young wideouts in the NFL. I think he goes O77.5 receiving yards, even if he finds himself facing Packers star CB Jaire Alexander.

Odds: +1213

Graham Eversden's SGP Pick

Current SGP picks challenge ROI: +3.69

I wanted to get weird this week with my same game parlay, so I threw together a bunch of random game props. I love the Lions offense when they're on script, so I’m taking them to score first. Both these teams seem to have competent offenses so surely they will score in every quarter. We saw a safety on Monday night, but I don’t think either play caller will call such a bad play when backed up at the goal line. Finally, I think we have a close game decided by a late score.

Odds: +657
